CLEAN BEST GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 84 700 040 553), trading as Clean Best, operates this website and provides commercial and domestic cleaning services in Silverwater NSW 2128 and elsewhere in Sydney. Our premises are at 54 Columbia Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2147. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and this policy explains how we apply them.

What we collect, and only what we collect

If you complete the quote form on this site, we collect your first name, last name, phone number, email address, the service you selected, the time window you chose for a return call, and — if you choose to give them — the address of the site to be cleaned and a message. The name, phone, email, service and call-time fields are required. The address and message fields are optional and the form works without them.

If you call us or email us, we collect whatever you tell us, which is usually your name, your contact details and a description of the premises. If you become a client, we hold the information needed to actually do the work and invoice it: site address, access and alarm procedures, contact people, the agreed scope, and billing details.

The quote form also contains a hidden field named company_website. It is a spam trap, not a question. It is positioned off-screen, removed from the tab order and hidden from assistive technology, so no human being will ever see or complete it. Submissions where it has been filled in are discarded, because only an automated script would have filled it.

What we do with it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a walkthrough, to prepare a written quote, to deliver the cleaning services you engage us for, and to invoice you for them. That is the whole list. We do not use your details for anything you did not contact us about.

What we never do with it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with data brokers, lead-generation companies or marketing lists. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a cleaning quote. We do not pass your details to any other cleaning company, and Clean Best is a standalone business that is not part of any cleaning network or franchise group that your information could be circulated within.

Where the form actually goes

When you submit the quote form, the contents are sent to a contact API which emails them to our team at hello@cleanbestgroup.com.au using Amazon Simple Email Service, with your email address set as the reply-to so a person can answer you directly. Amazon Web Services acts as our email delivery provider and processes the message in order to deliver it. Nobody else receives it.

Disclosure to others

We disclose personal information only where we genuinely have to: to service providers who help us operate the business (our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, our accounting software), to our insurer where a claim concerns you or your site, and where we are required to do so by law. Those providers may only use the information to provide their service to us.

Storage and security

We hold personal information in systems protected by access controls and limit access to the people who need it to do their job. Data transmitted from this website is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure and nobody can honestly claim otherwise, but we do not keep information we do not need, which is the only genuinely effective security measure available to a business our size.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, insurance and legal purposes. Where a record is no longer needed for any of those reasons, it is destroyed or de-identified.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising cookies and does not run advertising or profiling trackers. Where analytics are used, they are used to understand which pages are read and how the site performs, not to build a profile of you as an individual. Your browser can be set to refuse cookies and this site will still work.

Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and we will tell you. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong and we will correct it. There is no charge for asking, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first — email hello@cleanbestgroup.com.au or call 1300 494 983 — and tell us what happened. We will investigate it and respond to you in writing. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which is the regulator for the Privacy Act.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. We will not make a change and backdate it.
